The NIRI San Diego Chapter

The National Investor Relations Institute (NIRI) is a professional association of corporate investor relations officers and consultants responsible for communication among corporate management, the investing public and the financial community. The San Diego Chapter of NIRI, with almost 100 members today and growing, represents the majority of the publicly held corporations in San Diego, as well as many emerging companies and related service providers. The mission of the organization is to advance the practice of investor relations and to meet the growing professional development needs of those engaged in the field of Investor Relations. Nationally, NIRI has over 4,300 members in 35 chapters.

Summary:
NIRI San Diego invites you to take a break and take in a flick!

Enjoy the hilarious classic movie, in the “screwball comedy” tradition, "The Solid Gold Cadillac," starring Judy Holliday as the very first shareholder relations professional, and Paul Douglas as the former CEO-turned-lobbyist. Laugh as Judy breaks into the world of IR, starting out as a small shareholder who becomes a thorn in the side of the board of directors by asking too many questions during annual meetings. Her reward: a position at the company dealing with other shareholders!

It will be a fun evening, with popcorn, candy, and of course, wine!

The movie will begin promptly at 5:30.
